How to Add a Date to Your Instagram Story
Instagram stories are a powerful way to share moments of your life with your friends and followers. Adding a date to your story provides context and helps commemorate the moment you are sharing.
- First, open the Instagram app on your phone.
- Swipe right to bring up the Story Camera.
- Take a photo or record a video, or choose one from your gallery.
- Once you have your image or video, tap the smiley face sticker icon at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down to find a sticker with the current day of the week.
- Tap on it to add it to your story. You can change the font and style if you prefer.
- Tap the sticker icon again, and scroll down to find a sticker showing the current time.
- Tap on it to add it, and adjust its look and placement on the screen as desired.
- If you want to add the full date, tap the text tool (AA) at the top.
- Type the date manually (e.g., February 7th, 2025) and position it on the screen as you wish.
- Once you’re satisfied with your story, tap Next at the bottom right corner.
- Finally, share your story with your followers.
