How to Choose a WhatsApp Backup
- Open the WhatsApp application on your phone.
- You will be directed to the chats page, where you can view all your conversations.
- Go to the bottom right corner and tap on Settings.
- On the Settings page, go to Chats, then tap on Chat Backup.
- Here, you can view details including your last backup date and size.
- Tap on Auto Backup and choose the frequency of backup that suits you best.
- Return to the chats page and select Export Chat.
- Choose the chat you want to export from the list.
- Decide if you’d like to attach media. Note that attaching media will create a larger file size.
- Select how and where you want to share this chat. For example, tap on Mail if you wish to email it. Other sharing options are also available.
