Creating events on WhatsApp is a convenient way to keep your community informed and up-to-date with important happenings. This tutorial will guide you through the process of setting up a new event within your WhatsApp community.
How to Create an Event on WhatsApp
- Open WhatsApp application on your phone.
- Tap on the option Community from the bottom panel.
- Tap the new community button and hit get started.
- Type the name of the community. Once completed, tap on create community.
- On this page, tap on the add group option from the very bottom.
- Select the option add existing group.
- Select a group that you have already created and tap on ADD at the top right corner.
- Then, tap on the button add to community.
- The group has now been added to the community. Open that group from this page.
- Tap on the plus icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Select the option event from this menu.
- Give the event a name, add a description, and set the date and time of the event.
- You can also include the end time of the event by toggling on this option.
- Add a location for the event.
- Once done, tap on the WhatsApp call link and set the call type to Voice.
- After finishing all the setup for event details, tap on the send button at the top right corner.
- The event will then be shared with the group members, who can view the details by opening the message.
