How to Delete Highlights on Instagram
- Open the Instagram app on your phone.
- Tap on your profile icon located at the bottom right corner to access your profile page.
- In the middle of your profile, you will see your story highlights displayed in circular icons. Scroll to find the Highlight you want to delete.
- Tap on the selected Highlight to open it.
- To remove a specific story from the Highlight, navigate to that story within the Highlight.
- At the bottom right of the screen, tap on the more option, represented by three dots.
- A menu will appear. Tap on Remove from highlight.
- Instagram will confirm if you want to remove the story. Tap Remove to proceed.
- Even though the story is removed from the Highlight, it may still be saved in your archive.
- To view your archived stories, return to your profile page and tap on the three lines in the top right corner.
- Select Archive from the menu.
- At the top of the Archive screen, tap the drop-down menu and select Stories Archive.
- To permanently delete a story from your archive, tap on the story you wish to delete.
- Tap on More at the bottom right, then select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion to remove the story from Instagram permanently.
