How to Remove Suggested Posts on Instagram
Introduction: Instagram often shows users suggested posts in their feed, which can sometimes be intrusive or irrelevant. By following these steps, you can minimize the appearance of these suggested posts on your feed.
- Step 1: Open the Instagram application on your phone.
- Step 2: You will be directed to the homepage. Find a post labeled as ‘suggested for you.’
- Step 3: Tap on the three dots (options menu) at the top-right corner of the suggested post.
- Step 4: From the drop-down menu, select the ‘not interested’ option.
- Step 5: After selecting ‘not interested,’ tap on ‘don’t suggest posts’ with the name of the account.
- Step 6: The post will be removed, and you will see fewer posts similar to it in your newsfeed.
- Step 7: Alternatively, to snooze suggested posts directly, tap on your profile icon at the bottom-right corner.
- Step 8: Tap on the settings menu at the top-right corner of your profile page.
- Step 9: In the settings menu, go to content preferences.
- Step 10: Toggle on the option to snooze suggested posts.
- Note: While these steps can reduce suggested posts, they cannot be turned off permanently, so you may need to repeat these steps monthly.
