Instagram’s feature for collaboration empowers you to create shared content that appears on both your profile and a collaborator’s profile, enhancing the visibility of your post among both sets of followers. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to create a collab post:
- Open the Instagram app on your mobile device.
- Decide whether your collab post will be a post or a reel. For this tutorial, we’ll create a reel.
- Swipe right to open the camera and record your reel, or upload a pre-recorded video from your gallery.
- After recording or selecting your video, tap ‘Next’ at the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Tap ‘Next’ again to proceed to the editing screen, where you can add effects, music, or captions as desired.
- Once your reel is ready to be published, tap on ‘Tag People’.
- In the tagging screen, you’ll see an option to invite a collaborator; tap on it.
- Search for the username of the person you wish to invite and select it.
- After selecting the username, tap ‘Done’ to send the invitation.
- Wait for the collaborator to accept the invitation. The collaboration becomes official once they accept.
- Upon acceptance, the post will appear on both profiles, showcasing the collaboration.
