Want to share stories on Snapchat with only a select group of people? Creating a private story on Snapchat allows you to share content with a specific audience of your choosing. Follow these simple steps to create your own private story.
How to Create a Private Story on Snapchat
- First, open the Snapchat application on your phone. You will be taken to the camera screen by default.
- Tap on your profile icon located in the top left corner of the screen.
- Once on your profile page, look for the section labeled New Private Story and tap on it.
- A chronological list of your friends will appear. Select the specific friends you want to share your story with by tapping on their names.
- After selecting your desired audience, tap the Create Story button located at the bottom of the list.
- Enter a name for your private story and tap on Done.
- Your named private story will now appear in the list. Tap on this option.
- Select a media item from your Snapchat Gallery.
- Finally, tap on the Arrow at the bottom right of your screen to add the media to your private story.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully created a private story on Snapchat. Now, only the selected individuals will be able to view your story.
