Instagram has become a popular platform for sharing photos, videos, and expressing oneself. However, there might come a time when you want to remove your likes on certain posts. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process of unliking posts on Instagram.
How to Remove Likes on Instagram
- Open the Instagram app and navigate to your profile by tapping your profile picture located in the bottom right corner.
- Tap the three lines in the top right corner of your profile page to open the menu.
- Select Your Activity from the menu options.
- Tap on Likes in this submenu. Here, you will see a list of all the posts you have liked.
- To remove likes, tap Select in the top right corner.
- Tap on the posts you wish to unlike.
- Once selected, tap Unlike at the bottom of the screen. A confirmation message will appear.
- Tap Unlike again to confirm the action.
- If you’d like to remove likes from specific posts instead of all at once, open any post and tap the heart icon to unlike it instantly.
Note that Instagram does not currently offer a way to remove all likes at once; the selection must be done manually. Additionally, unliking a post will not notify the original poster, and your like will disappear immediately from their post.
