WhatsApp is a popular messaging application that lacks a native scheduling feature. Fortunately, using the Shortcuts application on your phone, you can easily schedule messages to be sent automatically.
How to Schedule a Message on WhatsApp
- Open the Shortcuts application on your phone.
- Navigate to the All Shortcuts page and tap on the Automation tab located at the bottom panel.
- Tap on New Automation.
- Select the Time of Day and choose when you want your automation to run.
- Scroll down to the Repeat section to choose how often you want the automation to execute. You can opt for daily, weekly, or monthly, and pick a start date.
- Decide if you want the automation to run after confirmation or immediately.
- Once configured, tap on Next at the top right corner.
- Tapping on New Blank Automation under the Get Started section starts creating your own automation.
- In the search bar, type and select WhatsApp, then choose Send Message.
- Enter the message you want to send by tapping on Message.
- Select your desired recipients by tapping on Recipients.
- After adding your message and recipients, tap Done in the top right corner.
- Your automation is now complete. Return to the main menu and open the WhatsApp application.
- Navigate to the Chats page and open a chat with one of the recipients you previously selected to verify if the scheduled message was sent.
