How to Share a Post on Your Instagram Story
Sharing a post on your Instagram story can increase its visibility and allow your followers to see content you find interesting or important. This tutorial will guide you through the steps to seamlessly add a post to your Instagram story.
- First, open the Instagram app on your phone.
- Find the post you want to share. It can be a post from your feed, a friend’s profile, or any account you follow.
- Below the post, locate the paper airplane icon next to the comment icon and tap on it.
- A menu will appear with different sharing options. Tap on Add to Story.
- The Instagram story editor will open, allowing you to customize the post before sharing it.
- At the top, tap the text icon to add words, use stickers, or draw on the post.
- You can also resize the post by pinching it with your fingers.
- At the bottom, choose from different sharing options: share with all followers, close friends, or in a group story.
- Once satisfied with its appearance, tap the arrow icon at the bottom right and then tap Share to add it to your story.
- If prompted by Instagram, decide whether to share it on Facebook as well, or select Not Now.
- After submitting, tap Done to complete.
- To confirm the post was shared, return to the home screen and tap on your profile picture at the top. Your story will open, showcasing the newly shared post.
