Instagram has integrated Threads, creating interest and also overwhelming notifications for some users. If you prefer a quieter Instagram experience without Thread notifications, follow these easy steps.
How to Stop Thread Notifications on Instagram
- Open the Instagram app on your phone.
- While scrolling through your feed, when you come across a Threads post, tap the three-dot icon in the top right corner of the post.
- From the menu that appears, select ‘Hide’. This action will remove the post from your feed and signal to Instagram that you are not interested in Threads content.
- To stop receiving notifications related to Threads, tap on your profile icon located in the bottom right corner.
- Now, tap the three horizontal lines in the top right corner to open the menu.
- In the menu, tap on ‘Notifications’.
- Look for the ‘Product Announcements and Feedback’ section and choose to turn it off.
- Following these steps will reduce Threads posts and notifications on Instagram.
